The risk of loss in trading commodity futures contracts can be substantial. You should, therefore, carefully consider whether such trading is suitable for you considering your circumstances and financial resources. Under certain market conditions, you may find it difficult or impossible to liquidate a position. This can occur, for example, when the market reaches a daily price fluctuation limit (“limit move”). The high degree of leverage (gearing) that is often obtainable in futures trading because of the small margin requirements can work against you as well as for you. Leverage (gearing) can lead to large losses as well as gains. You may sustain a total loss of the funds that you deposit with your broker to establish or maintain a position in the commodity futures market, and you may incur losses beyond these amounts.
The Displayed Results are Hypothetical
All results are based on simulated or hypothetical performance results that have certain inherent limitations. Unlike the results shown in an actual performance records, these results do not represent actual live trading. Also, because these trades have not actually been executed, the results may have under-or over-compensated for the impact, if any, of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated or hypothetical trading programs in general is also subject to the fact that they are designed with the benefit of hindsight. No representation is being made that any account will or is likely to achieve profits or losses like the results shown.
Furthermore, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of real financial risk in actual trading live trading environment. For example, the ability to withstand losing streaks or to adhere to a particular trading robot despite trading losses are material points which can also adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading robot, which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical or performance results and all of which can adversely affect actual live trading results.
To calculate the hypothetical trading results shown, we used the default NinjaTrader® strategy analyzer in combination with Kinetick® market data. Furthermore, we assume the commission structure offered by NinjaTrader® brokerage for their lifetime license holders. Please contact your broker to find out your personalized commission cost. As these products were just introduced in 2019, all hypothetical trading results for the e-micro/micro trading products, such as the e-micro S&P 500 and e-micro NASDAQ 100, were calculated based on the hypothetical trading result of the underlying full-size e-mini contract divided by ten. Furthermore, the hypothetical trading results shown do not take any reinvesting (compounding) into consideration, but are calculated on a nominal per contract basis.
